We found Ivy Cottage to be excellent! The furnishings were superb, of the highest quality, the amenities almost without equal, cleanliness could not be faulted. In all it is a “Home” of the highest standard. Nothing has been left to chance. Many hotel suites would struggle to compare. Simply top quality all the way.       Jackie & Alan Brown.

This is the second time we’ve been to Winster having stayed at Ivy Cottage last year with the family. The cottage is done to a very high standard and is the nicest cottage we’ve stayed in. Winster is lovely and its great being able to do walks from the door. Thank you Matt & Becky for a lovely relaxing break. Lots of hard work has gone into creating your lovely home. There are many nice touches, we loved the bedroom furnishings and the lovely big shower (rare). The gardens are beautiful and we loved the decking, great use of space. We felt very much at home and really enjoyed our week here. A beautiful cottage superbly finished! We’ve had a wonderful week in such comfortable surroundings. I know my parents will be terribly disappointed to have missed this holiday due to the “Ash Cloud” but we have enjoyed the peace of the countryside and all the entertainment the cottage has to offer. Thank you for a lovely holiday. The cottage was every bit as lovely as we could have imagined. The information folders about what to do in this beautiful part of the country were really useful and we had a packed week full of activities. We will definitely be back, in fact Maddy (2 years old) does not want to leave.

Thanks for a great stay in your beautiful cottage. So nice to have a holiday cottage which is also well equipped with all the ‘Mod cons’. Had a great week, this cottage is beautiful. Becky & Matt, you must have worked very hard to create this lovely place. It feels very homely and there are lots of thoughtful touches, the welcome basket just one example. We have had a “Traditional British Summer” week i.e. its rained every day! Lovely cottage, the best we’ve stayed in. Lots of space especially with 3 children. 10 year old loved the Playstation and 3 year old loved the puzzles. It was lovely to have a child friendly cottage with highchair, potty & socket covers. We had a fantastic time and managed to do everything we wanted and more. We look forward to returning soon.

A stunning cottage, we enjoyed every second of our stay, clean, comfortable and every possible mod-con you could ever need. We visited Ivy Cottage for a relaxing break and we were not disappointed. Matt greeted us on arrival and was extremely welcoming. The cottage itself is fantastic, everything that we wanted and needed was catered for. Nothing in this cottage is basic. We are sad to leave and are hoping to return soon. Oh, and the bath is Huge.

A fabulous place in which to celebrate a special birthday with family. The cottage is stunning and you have thought of everything - leaving the sledge out was genius. It was enjoyed by all the kids (big & small). I am sure we will return.

We needed a place to switch off, unwind and recharge and boy did we find it at Ivy Cottage.

The fittings and decor are fantastic, the best compliment I can give is that we want to pick it up and take it home with us.

What a beautiful cottage, you have certainly succeeded in making it a ‘home from home’ and you have thought of everything. Fantastic accommodation! What a wonderful place to stay in.  Managed four good walks and several interesting visits to local attractions. All this and returning each evening to the most beautiful & comfortable holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. Peak Country Cottages - Luxury self catering accommodation in the Peak District village of Winster

Our stay at Ivy Cottage certainly exceeded all our expectations. From organisation, to stay and through to our departure, Matt and Becky were great and nothing was too much trouble. The standard of accommodation was luxurious and exceptionally clean. A beautiful cosy cottage, with a home from home style yet with a mix of modern and traditional design. The facilities were perfect for our needs . The location was perfect for short runs out, being near to Matlock, Chatsworth House and the heart of the Peak District. Spent a fantastic week at this beautiful cottage. I cannot recommend it highly enough. My boys, Milo (4) and Woody (2) had so much space to run around - a fabulous house for playing hide and seek too!! We had a pretty rainy week away, but because the cottage is so spacious and so thoughtfully laid out we spent many happy hours indoors. Cannot compliment the HUGE bed enough either - fantastic!!            Rachel Swan, Grimsby
