Regarding directions you will probably approach from the direction of Matlock. Take
the A6 out of Matlock towards Bakewell. After about 2 miles you will pass the D.F.S.
Furniture store on the left and then turn left in front of the Whitworth Hotel along
the B5057 signed Winster. Follow the road through Darley Bridge and then up the hill
through Wensley to Winster.
As you enter the village the road is very narrow and then widens out, Ivy Cottage
is about half way along the wide stretch of road, at right angles to the road. You
want the first driveway immediately next to Ivy Cottage. If you get to where the
road narrows again then you have gone too far. If you get lost, ask at the village
shop, post office or pub where the Old Manor house (now Newfield Care home) is, Ivy
Cottage is the drive next to the Manor House drive. Post code for Sat Nav is DE4
2DH, please note that Sat Navs tend to direct you to a side road on the opposite
side of the road from Ivy Cottage.
After unloading your luggage please park at the very top of the drive that goes past
Ivy Cottage to the left hand side of Orchard View Cottage.
