We found Ivy Cottage to be excellent! The furnishings were superb, of the highest quality, the amenities almost without equal, cleanliness could not be faulted. In all it is a “Home” of the highest standard. Nothing has been left to chance. Many hotel suites would struggle to compare. Simply top quality all the way.       Jackie & Alan Brown.

Wonderful cottage with everything we could possibly need - we have had a relaxing week in lovely Winster and couldn't fault this delightful house at all! Becky & Matt have been superb hosts and we will definitely be coming back.

This is the second time we’ve been to Winster having stayed at Ivy Cottage last year with the family. Both of the cottages are lovely and this has been a cosy retreat on a cold weekend. We love the heated floors! Both cottages are done to a very high standard and are the nicest cottages we’ve stayed in. Winster is lovely and its great being able to do walks from the door. Thank you Matt & Becky for a lovely relaxing break. Lots of hard work has gone into creating your lovely home. There are many nice touches, we loved the bedroom furnishings and the lovely big shower (rare). The gardens are beautiful and we loved the decking, great use of space. We felt very much at home and really enjoyed our week here. A beautiful cottage superbly finished! We’ve had a wonderful week in such comfortable surroundings. I know my parents will be terribly disappointed to have missed this holiday due to the “Ash Cloud” but we have enjoyed the peace of the countryside and all the entertainment the cottage has to offer. Thank you for a lovely holiday. The cottage was every bit as lovely as we could have imagined. The information folders about what to do in this beautiful part of the country were really useful and we had a packed week full of activities. We will definitely be back, in fact Maddy (2 years old) does not want to leave.

We booked Ivy & Orchard View Cottages for a family gathering to celebrate my mums 60th birthday, a perfect choice! Both cottages are beautifully appointed, modern convenience and design with country living and plenty of space for a hectic week of exploring and good living with plenty of room for kids to run around. Had a great week, this cottage is beautiful. Becky & Matt, you must have worked very hard to create this lovely place. It feels very homely and there are lots of thoughtful touches, the welcome basket just one example. We have had a “Traditional British Summer” week i.e. its rained every day! Many thanks for the lovely stay in Orchard View. It was as beautiful as you had suggested. The house was probably the nicest I have ever had the pleasure to stay in -  a real home from home with absolutely nothing lacking. You have thought of everything anyone could possibly need or wish for. Lovely cottage, the best we’ve stayed in. Lots of space especially with 3 children. 10 year old loved the Playstation and 3 year old loved the puzzles. It was lovely to have a child friendly cottage with highchair, potty & socket covers. We had a fantastic time and managed to do everything we wanted and more. We look forward to returning soon.

Orchard View Cottage is lovely! We loved the stone floors and the underfloor heating. The bathrooms are great, especially the big one, I want to take it home. The TV etc is fantastic. Winster is a lovely village. The welcome basket was much appreciated, thank you we’ve had a very enjoyable few days and wish we were staying longer.

We have all had a wonderful week in the Peak District. We visited Ivy Cottage for a relaxing break and we were not disappointed. Matt greeted us on arrival and was extremely welcoming. The cottage itself is fantastic, everything that we wanted and needed was catered for. Nothing in this cottage is basic. We are sad to leave and are hoping to return soon. Oh, and the bath is Huge.

A fabulous place in which to celebrate a special birthday with family. Both cottages are stunning and you have thought of everything - leaving the sledge out was genius. It was enjoyed by all the kids (big & small). Thank you for your patience and flexibility whilst we sorted out or snowy travel dilemmas. I am sure we will return.

We needed a place to switch off, unwind and recharge and boy did we find it at Ivy Cottage.

The fittings and decor are fantastic, the best compliment I can give is that we want to pick it up and take it home with us.

Orchard View  looked a superb cottage on the Web and I hoped we wouldn’t be disappointed. But it was even better to see it in real life! You have made a delightful holiday retreat and managed to think of everything for the comfort & relaxation of your guests. The quality of the workmanship and the materials used, especially the oak doors, have worked together to make a wonderful retreat and you have produced a real character cottage. We’ve had a quiet relaxing week

Here in the heartland of the Peak,

The House, replete with all we needed,

(To switch on the TV we succeeded),

The weather, on the whole was kind

The occasional shower we did not mind,

From Chatsworths grandeur, Bakewells charms,

Delightful view-points, well kept farms,

And Winster village, buildings listed,

A gentle quietness that persisted,

This cottage thoughtful touches shows

And grateful guests your hard work knows,

We go back home, refreshed, renewed,

As all returning travellers should,

You’ve got it right - and that is that,

We’ll recommend you Becky and Matt,

Orchard View  is a beautiful cottage with everything you need for a restful holiday. Will recommend to everyone we know. The snow really made everything perfect. Great Walks. Thanks for a great time.
